Tems responds to rumours that she is pregnant for Future

Nigerian singer, Tems has addressed rumours that she is pregnant for American rapper, Future in a recent episode of ‘The Breakfast Club’.

Tems sparked this pregnancy rumours following an outfit she wore to the Burberry’s Spring/Summer 2024 London Fashion Week show in December last year. She put on a black dress with a purple fluffy coat and matching heels, and many thought that the way the dress clung to her body suggested she was pregnant.

In the interview, Tems questioned the choice of Future and wondered why those behind the rumours didn’t claim Wizkid or Drake was responsible for her supposed pregnancy.

“People just take the most controversial things. Because I was thinking like, why am I pregnant for Future? Why Future? Because that’s the craziest,” she said.

“Why not Wizkid? Why not Drake? Why not somebody else? If it was Drake, it would be the same thing but the reason why it is Future is because of his reputation. He has about five kids and has a reputation of being a ladies’ man.”

She also spoke about the top rap artistes that inspired her. She mentioned Lil Wayne, Kendrick Lamar, Drake, Ab-Soul, Andre 3000 and J.Cole.

Tems is currently on her world tour which she kicked off in Europe on June 12 and wrapping up in Australia on November 15.

Tems released her highly anticipated debut album titled ‘Born In The Wild’, on June 7 and in the 18-track album she enlists Asake, the Afrobeats star, and J. Cole, the US rapper.
