After two years of marriage Jennifer Lopez has filed for a divorce from Actor Ben Affleck and this is coming shortly after their two year anniversary.
Lopez and Affleck were initially engaged over 17 years ago however they postponed their wedding which was slated to hold in September 2003 and officially parted ways in 2004. They remained friendly with each other while moving on to different partners.
In 2021 they rekindled their love and got married in a suprise wedding in Las Vegas in 2022 and had a more elaborate wedding much later on the grounds of Affleck’s 87-acre compound outside Savannah in August of that year.
She filed in Los Angeles County Superior Court and listed April 26, 2024 as the date of separation. She was said to make the move herself without enlisting the help of a lawyer.
Multiple sources report that they have not been living together in their Los Angeles mansion even though they have been seen attending various events together.
Sources also say Jennifer tried really hard to make things work, and is heartbroken and also her kids are a top priority, as they always have been.
Another source told the tabloid that Lopez is ready to “move on” from the relationship. “She’s very disappointed and sad, but Ben hasn’t given her any signs that he wants to continue their marriage.”
Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck reportedly split up due to irreconcilable differences. Jennifer is said to be taking time off to be with her children, family and close friends.
